Passage Island is a heavily wooded island at the entrance to
Howe Sound between Fisherman's Cove in West Vancouver and Bowen
Island in British Columbia, Canada. There are year-round, weekender
and summer residents sharing magnificent views of downtown Vancouver,
West Vancouver, the University of British Columbia, Bowen and other
adjacent islands.
It is in Canada's wealthiest postal code but is the Passage
Island lifestyle is modest.
There no amenities or public facilities, houses are solar and
generator powered with water collection from rooftops.
Access is limited; the ocean inflows and outflows are often severe,
especially in winter, and there are no public docks. Residents value
their privacy and independence.
